Progressive Organ Concert
When
Join the Cobblestone Museum for an unforgettable afternoon of music and local history at the Sixth Annual Progressive Organ Concert, featuring three beautifully preserved pipe organs in the heart of Albion’s Courthouse Square.
The event begins at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, where Darryl Smith will showcase the church’s 1873 Steere & Turner pipe organ. A wine and cheese reception will follow at 3:30 p.m., offering a chance to mingle and enjoy light refreshments before continuing the musical journey.
From there, guests will enjoy a short stroll to St. Joseph’s Church, where organist and restorer Aaron Grabowski will perform on the 1896 Garrett House tracker organ, currently maintained by the Parsons Pipe Organ Company of Canandaigua.
The concert finale will take place next door at the First Baptist Church, where Gary Simboli will demonstrate the depth and richness of the 1925 Moller Opus pipe organ.
For those wishing to extend the experience, an optional dinner will follow at Tavern on the Ridge (formerly Tillman’s Village Inn). Guests will choose from cottage pie, a French ham melt with arugula salad, or an Asian chopped salad with ginger chicken. Soft drinks or coffee are included, and a cash bar will be available.
