Fall Fest at the David A. Howe Public Library
When
Event has endedCome help us kick off the beautiful Fall season at the library! We will have cider and donuts, crafts, book giveaways, and LIVE GOATS from River Road Ranch for all ages to enjoy. As part of the celebration, we will be collecting canned and boxed foods to donate to the Salvation Army for the Great Give Back.* If a child brings a canned or boxed good to donate, they can enjoy some time in a bounce house on the library lawn. We will continue to collect shelf stable food through October 21st. Suggested donations for the Salvation Army include any canned vegetable, including corn & peas, canned fruit, cereals, pasta, and rice. This event is free and open to the public.
*The Great Give Back is a community service initiative created by the Suffolk County Public Library Directors Association and the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, in conjunction with the Nassau Library System. The mission of The Great Give Back is to provide a day of opportunities for the patrons of the Public Libraries of New York State to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.
