Discover the science of solar eclipses, make a pinhole viewer and other take-home crafts. 1 pair of GeneSEEtheEclipse commemorative ISO certified-safe eclipse glasses will be given to each participant along with information about the April 5-8, 2024 celebrations being planned. All ages welcome. Food and drinks not available, carry-in carry-out park. This Program is FREE!

An Annular Eclipse occurs when the Moon obscures all but an outer ring of the Sun. For this reason, glasses must always be worn for viewing, even in areas that are in the direct path.

In our area:
Begins at 11:58am, Ends at 2:27pm (2 hr 29 min)
Maximum at 1:12pm
Cannot remove eye protection at any point
The moon will partially cover the sun
