Located in the heart of Batavia, The Mog Bar & Grill is a historic community hub with 168 years of rich tradition. Originally a hotel and bar for farmers in the 1800s, it has been lovingly renovated by Amy Smith and her husband Dave Scroger after Amy’s mom, Linda Smith, retired in 2024. The Mog's iconic 168-year-old bar has been refinished, and the kitchen and dining areas have been updated while maintaining the venue’s timeless charm.
Under Amy and Dave's leadership, along with help from family members, The Mog continues to serve delicious comfort food, including favorites like Fish Fry and Momma’s Specials. The family has always been at the heart of The Mog, and Amy, a teacher, and Dave, a car hauler, balance their full-time jobs with their passion for the bar.
