Meet an Alpaca
Hours: Seasonal, April – October
Location: Bergen, Genesee County
You’re invited for a farm tour to get to know the animals of Northwoods Alpacas.
Northwoods has been raising and breeding alpacas for over 15 years, and their farm is the perfect place to get to know these exotic animals. Get up close and personal with the alpacas, learn about small town farm life, and browse the gift shop full of alpaca wool products, form the softest scarves to the comfiest socks you’ll ever wear.
Hemlock Hills Alpacas
Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm
Location: Livonia, Livingston County
Nestled in the Hemlock Valley of the Finger Lakes is Hemlock Hills Alpacas, a 75-acre farm home to a herd of Alpacas. Take a tour of the farm and learn why alpacas are a joy to raise, how versatile their fur is, and what a gentle disposition they have. Browse the on-site store and take home hand-spun yarn or the coziest sweater you’ve ever had.

Location: Attica, Wyoming County
Welcome to the premier rodeo in all of Western New York! For over 60 years the Attica Rodeo has been keeping the time-honored tradition of rodeo alive with calf penning, steer roping, bronc riding, barrel racing and more! Voted the best rodeo by the Cowboys and Cowgirls of The American Professional Rodeo Association, this is an experience you can’t have anywhere else!

Location: Wellsville, Allegany County
The Fassett Greenspace is public garden and sculpture park on Main Street Wellsville, where small town living is at its best. A permanent mediation labyrinth forms the raised beds for the garden with dozens of fruits, veggies, and herbs available for public harvest. Enjoy the quiet music of the fountain, designed and forged locally. This unique greenspace exists on a historic piece of land and is well worth a visit as you pass through.

Location: Elba, Genesee County
The Sweet Life Country Store features the best in sweet treats and local gifts! This idyllic small-town store features hand-crafted and locally made gifts as well as delicious goodies. Grab a chocolate or ice cream cone from Oliver’s candies, local honey and maple syrup, and other locally made goodies like salsa, jams, beans, pickles, and more. Local winery Circle B often sets up out front with tastings!

Genesee Country Farmer’s Market
Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, June – October
Location: Batavia, Genesee County
Get to know the friendly faces behind your food at the Genesee County Farmer’s Market! Everything sold here is grown or made locally with care, by farmers, residents, artists and more. Explore to your heart’s content, browsing an incredible selection of food from popcorn and perogies to local sausages, fudge, and homemade pies. The market also hosts artisan stalls where you can find fresh flowers, homemade soaps, handcrafted jewelry, and more.

Location: LeRoy, Genesee County
Spend a morning at the LeRoy Farmer’s Market! Browse local produce, spoil your significant other with flower arrangements, shop local meats like duck and chicken, and find household goodies. Watch cooking demonstrations, shop local wineries, and enjoy weekly entertainment!
Medina's Canal Village Farm Market
Hours: Saturdays, 9 am – 1 pm
Location: Medina, Genesee County
One of Western NY’s premier farmer’s markets! The Canal Village Farmer’s Market boasts the freshest produce, from field to table in just hours. Medina and the surrounding area have a rich history of fertile farmland and these aren’t your average grocery store fruits and vegetables. Shop fresh meats, wine, mead, baked goods, maple products, flowers and more. There’s also live music and kid’s activities for fun for the whole family.
Belmont Farmer’s Market
Hours: Thursdays, 11 am – 5 pm, May - October
Location: Belmont, Allegany County
A regional favorite, the Belmont Farmer’s Market has a wide selection of fresh produce and locally made goods. Shop maple and honey products, fresh produce, baked goods, poultry and rabbit, sauces, jams, jellies and artisan crafts. Planning ahead? You can place your order online and pick it up at the market!
Stop By A Working Farm
Hours: Daily, 9 am – 6 pm, April - October
Location: Kendall, Orleans County
Partyka Farms is more than a place to get the finest fresh fruits and veggies in Western NY- they’re a destination for family fun! Explore the sights, sounds, and tastes of the country. Their grill is open May- September to grab a burger or a hot dog while the kids run around the playground. Enjoy an ice cream cone in the summer or a glass of fresh apple cider in the fall. Don’t forget to browse their fully stocked gift shop. Partyka is also the headquarters of the Barn Quilt Trail.

A maple farm is a must-see on your Fresh Air Adventure, and Merle’s has been harvesting this sweet bounty for over 100 years! Harvesting over 9,000 gallons of maple syrup each year, Merle’s has an unparalleled selection of maple products including BBQ sauces, cotton candy, sugar, hot sauce, mustard, butter, and more. Anything you can think of with maple syrup, they have!

Location: Perry, Wyoming County
You’ve never had cheese quite like this; with raw, fresh milk straight off the dairy farm where cows roam free over the fields. The climate of Wyoming County lends well to alpine-style cheeses, and East Hill is the only producer of comté cheese in the US. It’s aged to perfection and deliciously creamy! No visit here is complete without a tour behind the scenes to see how these delicious dairy treats are made, followed by a trip to the gift shop to grab a cheese wheel to take home.
True North Farm York

Location: York, Livingston County
True North Farm York has a different approach to growing produce; one that honors the ground food comes from and the delicate microbiomes that are essential for a bountiful harvest. Stop by for a tour and learn about their regenerative agriculture processes, why they no longer use tractors in their fields, and meet their adorable herd of cows. They also offer yoga classes in a restored 19th century barn, where you can enjoy the fresh air with every pose.
Bright Earth Farm
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 8 pm, Saturday – Sunday, 9 am – 5 pm
Location: Nunda, Livingston County
Bright Earth Farms is settled on a scenic hill atop 22 acres of rolling farmland. Here they’ve made it their mission to care for heritage breeds and landrace animals, promoting genetic diversity in farm animals and the meat we eat. Meet their heard of Icelandic lambs and shop the fresh meat available for purchase.

Fallbrook Farms is a woman-owned-and-operated medicinal herb and mushroom farm in Geneseo. Their focus is on using regenerative agricultural practices to ensure the health of the soil and produce the richest harvest possible.
